EIAGs project’s exact initiative and the will to act and communicate of those who participate in them – and they are intended as .nite. The installation is merely a transitional state; the artist’s aim is to create free experiential spaces to promote conscious communication processes among participants. This begins in the planning stage when – as is the case with ‘Sublime Porte’ – the people living in a house send in views of their balconies they have photographed themselves so the artist can attune the colours of his materials to them and when they reach a consensus among themselves collectively to engage in linking neighbouring houses by means of several thousand metres of gift-wrapping ribbon. The project ends with the presentation and documentation of the material, which has, in this case, been wound up in a ball jointly by the residents of the house and onlookers. Die Projekte von Tim Eiag fordern von den Teilnehmern Eigeninitiative, Aktions- und Kommunikationswillen - und sie sind als Aktionen auf Endlichkeit angelegt. Die Installation ist nur ein Zwischenstadium, künstlerisches Ziel ist die Schaffung freier Erfahrungsräume um bewusste Kommunikationsprozesse zwischen den Beteiligten anzuregen. Das beginnt schon in der Planung , wenn, wie im Fall der „Erhabenen Pforte“, die Hausbewohner selbst fotografierte Ansichten ihres Balkons schicken, damit der Künstler die Farben des Bandes darauf abstimmen kann und wenn sie sich untereinander absprechen, um gemeinsam die Verknüpfung der benachbarten Häuser mittels mehrer tausend Meter Geschenkband durchzuführen. Am Ende steht die Präsentation und Dokumentation des, in diesem Fall gemeinsam mit Bewohnern und Zuschauern zu einem Netz-Knoten verdichteten Materials. Den gesamten Aktionsprozess hält der Künstler fotografisch und per Video fest, so dass sie im Urban Art Archiv abrufbar bleiben.
